Loren Cronk has been making jeans by hand for over 15 years. After cutting his teeth at denim powerhouses Levi Strauss and Ralph Lauren, Cronk has established himself as an industry leader through a series of cult denim brands including The BLKSMTH 1892. Loren is dedicated to creating products responsibly and ethically, ensuring everyone involved benefits from fair rewards. All denim lovers are encouraged to bring their worn threads into his store, in Greenpoint, Brooklyn for tailoring, repair, and recycling— we think that’s pretty damn cool.
We met Loren in New York in 2017 and haven’t put our Farmer’s Totes down since. In our humble opinion, the size is perfect, the straps go easily over a shoulder and hang at just the right length, and there’s two great little inside pockets for your phone and keys. And beautifully, but sadly, the denim is woven by Cone Mills in the soon-to-be-closed White Oak Facility, the last remaining mill in America using shuttle loom mills (the mills that produce selvedge denim). We’re honored to carry them while we can.
